Combating of e.g. tumors by a hydrophobic compound consists of encapsulation of violacein to enhance its toxicity reduction capacity
NOVELTY – The combating of e.g. tumors by a hydrophobic compound comprises formulation of violacein encapsulated in beta-cyclodextrin conjugated with a gold nanoparticle via a specific dithiol. Also claimed is a process using the encapsulated violacein. The process employs in vitro cultures based on HL 60 leukemia cells and V79 fibroblasts respectively and a complex Au-S(CH2)6-S-beta-CD, without which violacein is less effective as regards V79 toxicity reduction. USE – In physical chemistry.
Main Application Field
A96 (Medical, dental, veterinary, cosmetic.); B02 (Fused ring heterocyclics.); B07 (General – tablets, dispensers, catheters (excluding drainage and angioplasty), encapsulation etc, but not systems for administration of blood or saline or IV feeding etc.)
