Soft concurrent back-propagation process for temporal equalization in ofdm systems

NOVELTY – The method involves providing a single equalization filter that filters the output signal after the filtering. The signal is obtained and used as a parameter for the calculation of the error in the frequency domain. The stochastic gradient of the error measured in the frequency domain is retro-propagated as input to adapt the equalizer coefficients temporal strategy that enables the use of information previously known about the constellation signal on subcarriers. The filter coefficients are adapted using the gradient method based on a cost function that depends on the used algorithm. USE – Method for temporal equalization in orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing systems. ADVANTAGE – The filter coefficients are adapted using the gradient method based on a cost function that depends on the used algorithm, thus the method efficiently propagates the useable information present in the frequency domain in order to update the coefficients of the temporal equalizer. The soft concurrent back-propagation process increases data flows in the system more efficiently, and thus enables the cyclic prefix of the symbol to be reduced or even eliminated.
