Automated solid phase extraction system
NOVELTY – The automated system comprises a level sensor that allows the presence and level of a liquid, such as solvents and samples to be detected inside the cartridge. The sensor determines the flow rate used to elute the liquid. The sensor detects whether the liquid is completely eluted from the cartridge. Multiple optoelectronic transmission keys are coupled to the extraction cartridges, such that the logical signal from the device is used by an electronic circuit to automate the process of solid phase extraction. USE – Automated system for extraction of solid phase. ADVANTAGE – The complexity and costs of operation of the system are reduced. The optoelectronic transmission keys are coupled to the extraction cartridges, such that the logical signal from the device is used by an electronic circuit to automate the process of solid phase extraction, and thus enables to accurately measure the liquid level in the cartridge. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) – The drawing shows a schematic view of support or guide slot for engagement with the cartridge solid phase extraction. Support (2-1,2-2)
