NOVELTY – Producing bioethanol from orange pulp involves grinding orange pulp, and subjected to enzymatic hydrolysis by adding H protein extract of Xanthomonas axonopodis strain Xac 306 to yield first solid residue and liquid portion, and then fermenting liquid portion using co-cultures of commercial yeast, such as Saccharomyces cerevisiae, Candida parapsilosis strain IFM 48375 and NRRL Y-12969 to obtain fermentation product and second solid residue, and then distillation the fermentation product to obtain bioethanol.
