Producing extract from Pfaffia glomerata involves pre-fertilizing, drying and grinding roots of Pfaffia glomerata in bed extractor, and then heating extractor bed
NOVELTY – Pfaffia glomerata extract production involves pre-fertilizing, drying and grinding roots of Pfaffia glomerata in a bed extractor, and then heating the extractor bed at 25-30 degrees C. A mixture of water stream and 50% short chain alcohol is passed into the extractor bed, where ultrasonic waves are continuously applied at beginning or in a pulsed manner during passage of a flow of the water mixture and a short-chain alcohol. An extract is collected with an emulsification index of more than 47% with 11% beta-ecdysone, where the solvent mixture is removed. USE – Method for producing extract from Pfaffia glomerata used for manufacturing surfactant composition, and for use in food, pharmaceutical, cosmetic and petrochemical industries. ADVANTAGE – The method produces the Pfaffia glomerata extract in a simple, precise and cost-effective manner. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) – The drawing shows a graphical representation depicting accumulated mass of Pfaffia glomerata extract. (Drawing includes non-English language text).
