Active compounds extracting method, involves using extracting agent in supercritical state, such as carbon dioxide is widely used which is not associated with co-solvent, such as water, ethanol, iso-amyl alcohol or organic compound
NOVELTY – The method involves using extracting agent in supercritical state, such as carbon dioxide is widely used which is not associated with a co-solvent, such as water, ethanol, iso-amyl alcohol, propanol, or organic compound. The extraction is done by steam distillation or hydrodistillation. The compounds obtained are phytosterols, such as stigmasterol, beta-sitosterol, campesterol, aliphatic alcohols such as polycosanol, particularly octacosanol, hexacosanol. eicosanol, docosanol, tetracosanol, heptcosanol and triaconsanol. USE – Method for extracting active compounds wax present in the wax of sugar cane by utilization the waste. ADVANTAGE – The method involves using extracting agent in supercritical state, thus ensures non-toxic extraction, prevents damage that occurs in the extraction process by steam distillation or hydrodistillation and eliminates the step of evaporating the solvent.
Main Application Field
D17 (Sugar and starch industry (C07H, C13).); D16 (Fermentation industry – including fermentation equipment, brewing, yeast production, production of pharmaceuticals and other chemicals by fermentation, microbiology, production of vaccines and antibodies, cell and tissue culture and genetic engineering.)
