Linear displacement thermal magnetic device for conversion of thermal energy into mechanical energy, has two sets of magnets fixed to linear displacement table that is supported by magnetic bearings with recirculating balls
NOVELTY – The device has two sets of magnets (1, 2) fixed to a linear displacement table (5) and provided in form of rectangular parallelepipeds. The linear displacement table is supported by magnetic bearings with recirculating balls (7). An electromagnetic actuator is provided with coils (16), a copper alloy wire, an iron silicon plate and permanent magnets. A flow valve (4) is held by bolts that fix to a main base (6) of the device. A junction of a connecting rod with a crank (9) is made through a shaft coupled to a radial ball bearing (13). USE – Linear displacement thermal magnetic device for conversion of thermal energy of a low-temperature source into mechanical energy for automotive vehicles. Uses include but are not limited to cars, lorries, locomotives and ships. Can also be used for converting solar energy, geothermal energy or industrial wastes to mechanical energy. ADVANTAGE – The linear displacement table is supported by the magnetic bearings with recirculating balls so as to reduce friction between the linear displacement table and a guide so as to increase working efficiency of the device. The device is simple in structure. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) – The drawing shows an exploded perspective view of a linear displacement thermal magnetic device.
