NOVELTY – The sugar cane wax fractionation, purification and refining technique has the crude wax fractionated purified and refined by e.g. ethyl alcohol treatment. Also claimed is a process making sugar cane oil from its wax. CLAIMED PROCESS – The process yields solid products containing C20-4 higher alcohols, 40-50 and C36-64 higher fatty esters 50-60 per cent, respectively. USE – In food manufacture.
